What a FANTASTIC piece of equipment. I use mine everyday in all lessons. Show and tell is a particular favourite for the children.
• Showing a ruler for measuring, where to start.
• Sharing children’s work and peer assessing.
• Reading stories and sharing the book.
I’m hoping that every class will have one soon.
ESSENTIAL FOR EVERY TEACHER!
Hilton Primary School
This is a fantastic resource which we have used in our school for several years. It has been instrumental in raising standards in a range of curriculum areas. Pupils are inspired and motivated and thoroughly enjoy making their own films and animations. Staff use them daily to model/display pupil work/lesson objectives and exemplary work.
Headteacher, Lionel Primary School
This is the best USB camera I have ever used. I would use it always in preference to a visualiser. It is perfect for modelling work; showing examples of good work; demonstrating science experiments or simply engaging students because of the fun element the camera brings to lessons.
My original Hue camera (now 4yrs old) is so well worn it now needs replacing. It has been around the whole school – all my colleagues in the Maths department have bought one and my assistant head even uses one in…
Advanced Skills Teacher, Great Barr School
This is a wonderful resource that has enabled our lessons to be exciting and motivating for the pupils!
We had the Living Egg project at school. 10 eggs delivered at day 19 out of 21. The camera monitored the cracks and eventually the moment of emergence of the chicks. (Only 1 didn’t hatch but that’s nature!)
The visualiser caught this miraculous occurrence and the excitement of the pupils too.
After 2 weeks it was time for the chicks to go to their new and bigger home. We will miss…
Beis Yaakov Primary
What a great affordable way for student’s mistakes and misconceptions to be highlighted at class level, allowing the teacher to help individuals make progress in their learning.
We use Hue cameras in a variety of different ways – from sharing formative feedback to demonstrating practical experiments eg the classic disappearing cross works really well!
The Brooksbank School
I have used the Hue cameras in several schools in the UK as both visualisers and cameras to easily create images for animations. They are so easy to set up and to use.
I was looking for a visualiser that could be used by all staff for a reasonable price. Last year I bought 1 Hue camera, we now have over 60 in the school. A great way to demonstrate student’s work instantly.
A great product!
Chichester High School for Girls
We purchased one of these cameras at BETT last year. We use them for WAGOLL (“ what a good one looks like”). Pupils love their work to be seen on the IWB. I recommend these!
The children love to see handiwork on screen when using as a visualiser, but the most exciting part is using hue for animation. This particular topic is a highlight of the year – fun and instantly rewarding.
